This sofa was developed with an intention to create a durable sofa that would qualify for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel within the European market, and it features FSC-certified wood for the frame and select EU-Ecolabelled upholstery for the covers.


The seat and back cushions are made in carefully-balanced proportions, with identical side cushions creating a sense of harmony and offering the opportunity for multiple comfortable sitting or lying positions, while the frame creates a strong yet elegant profile with an architectural quality.

Arbour Eco uses EU-Ecolabelled textiles, FSC-certified wood and water-based lacquer. It is built to last, with parts that can be repaired individually – without replacing the whole sofa.

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel works to reduce the environmental impact from the production and consumption of goods. Products with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel are free from harmful chemicals such as:

• phthalates
• heavy metals
• brominated flame retardants
• fluorinated substances

Beyond looking at the raw materials used for a given product, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel requirements also include usage, disposal, and recycling. Before a product receives the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, it must provide documentation that it meets all environmental requirements as well as quality requirements, to ensure that it will have a long life, which further limits waste.
